The inventive method is characterized in that a central section (23; 123; 123') arranged between the first and the second terminal sections (21, 22; 121, 122; 121', 122'), is deformed immediately before or after the lining clip (20; 120; 120') has been fixed to the lid bar. The invention also concerns such a lining clip (20; 120; 120') and a corresponding compression tool (30).
