[origin: WO2006037849A1] The present invention relates to a bottom plate that can be placed beneath the cover plate of a door lock, window catch or similar. A bottom plate according to the invention includes gripping means that provide lateral attachment to the edge of the mounting hole. This engagement will prevent lateral movement of the bottom plate mounted on the mounting base. The gripping means comprise one or more grip surfaces. The gripping means are flexible in the direction of the bottom plate height, making it possible to mount the bottom plate on the very surface of the mounting base.
