Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006040274A1] Previously known devices for delivering fuel comprise at least one jet suction pump (22,33) and an entrainment pipe (21) which can be blocked by means of a stop valve (30), supplies the jet suction pump with fuel, and branches off a pressure pipe (11) that extends to an internal combustion engine (15). The electrically switched stop valve (30) allows the jet suction pumps (22, 23) to be switched off independently of the pressure prevailing downstream of a feed pump (4) as well as independently of the operating conditions of an internal combustion engine (15). The disadvantage is that the electrically switched stop valve is relatively expensive. In order to reduce the production cost, the stop valve (30) in the inventive device is embodied in an automatically closing manner. According to the invention, the pressure of the pressure pipe (11) acts upon the stop valve (30) in such a way that the stop valve closes at a pressure that is greater than or equal to a predetermined closing pressure.
