Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006034668A2] The invention relates to an LED array having at least two LED chips (2). Said LED array is characterized in that it contains a temperature sensor (3) and in that the operating current of the LED chips (2) is controlled depending on the temperature detected by the temperature sensor (3). The inventive array allows for a long operating time of the LED chips (2) with a high operating current without running the risk of thermal overload.
