Abstract (en)
A carpet has pile yarns (8) woven with binder warp (5) and weft (6, 7) to form the pile (9). In addition it has floating design weft threads (10) held by a binder warp (11). These binder warp threads (11) are very thin compared to the floating weft threads (10). The floating weft threads (10) are placed between two pile loops (9) and the binder warp (11) has the same color as the floating weft (10). The thin binder warp (11) is only tied to the upper weft (6), the pile (9) and the floating weft (10). The frequency of binder warp threads is equal to that of the pile yarns (8).
