[origin: EP1801275A1] A process for producing a garment with arms (3,4) on a flat knitting machine with at least two needle beds, comprises using thread guides (20,30,40). Before the arms are applied to the body, the body length is extended to at least the point where the arms join it. While the arms are applied, the front and rear body sections are formed on opposing needle beds. The needles carry the front and rear body mesh sections, and a mesh row is formed before arm mesh sections are added.
