Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1801287A1] A calendar comprises at least three rollers whose axes are located in a press plane. Some of the rollers have an elastic coating and a control unit is used to open and close the gap between adjacent rollers. At least one of the rollers (3,8) has a wider coating, and has cooling units at the edge. The end rollers are bending adjustment rollers, and at least one of the wider coated rollers has a drive. One roller has a pressure transducer (20,27) which acts on the end of a two armed lever (15).
