Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006040212A1] Disclosed is a method (20) for operating a fuel injection system (10) especially of a motor vehicle. Said fuel injection system (10) comprises a fuel reservoir (13) to which fuel can be delivered via a metering unit (12). According to the inventive method (20), an actual pressure (ID) prevailing in the fuel reservoir (13) is influenced with the aid of an integral action controller (24), among other things. A pilot value (V2) is generated by a characteristic pilot control diagram (27) by means of which production-related deviations of components of the fuel injection system (10) are compensated.
