A lock system is comprised of locks (11,13) having teeth that cooperate with a piston (3) through a ball screw drive (7) to supply and discharge fluid. A throttle valve (38) is arranged in a flume for fluid linked to a piston chamber (31). Preloading of the flume affects a piston rod (4) such that fluid is discharged faster from the piston chamber (23) than from the piston chamber (31).

Es wird ein Arbeitszylinder mit mechanischer Wegsperrung im drucklosen Zustand beschrieben, der bei Druckausfall und Ansteuerung einer bestimmten Lage, exakt in der vorgegebenen Position sperrt, eine hohen Wirkungsgrad aufweist sowie günstig herzustellen ist. Erfindungsgemäß ist im Ablaufkanal für ein Fluid aus einem Kolbenraum (31) ein vorgespanntes Drosselventil (38) angeordnet, dessen Vorspannung in Abhängigkeit von der auf eine Kolbenstange (4) einwirkenden Kraft so groß gewählt wird, dass das Fluid aus einem Sperrkolbenraum (23) des Sperrsystems wesentlich schneller abströmt als aus dem Kolbenraum (31).
