Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006040010A1] The invention relates to a device (V1,V2) for pressing at least two layers of a folded bottom (B1) of multilayered packaging, wherein the strength of the bottom (B1) varies over the surface thereof as a result of the fold, and wherein the surface (1,8) of the device, which is provided for pressing the layers, comprises pressing elements (7,11) that are used to press the layers in areas of the bottom having a lesser thickness. The aim of the invention is to reduce the problem of damage to the bottom of the packaging (B1), the porosity thereof and the soiling of the bottom (B1), and to better accommodate longitudinal seam tolerances. In order to achieve said aim, the press elements (7,1) are shaped like a spherical cap. The invention also relates to multilayered composite packaging consisting of folded cardboard which is provided with at least one plastic coating.
