[origin: WO2006045533A1] The invention relates to a method for producing silanes of general formula (I) R<SUP>6</SUP>R<SUP>5</SUP>CH-R<SUP>4</SUP>CH-SiR<SUP>1</SUP>R<SUP>2</SUP>R<SUP>3</SUP> (I), wherein silanes of general formula (II) HsiR<SUP>1</SUP>R<SUP>2</SUP>R<SUP>3 </SUP>(II) are reacted with alcenes and/or allcynes of general formula (III) R<SUP>6</SUP>R<SUP>5</SUP>C=CHR<SUP>4 </SUP>(III), in the presence of iridium compounds as catalysts and in the presence of cocatalysts according to claim 1. The amount of cocatalysts is between 0.5 wt.- % to 5.0 wt.- %, in relation to the total weight of the used components of general formulae (II) and (III). According to the invention, R<SUP>1</SUP>, R<SUP>2</SUP>, R<SUP>3</SUP>, R<SUP>4</SUP>, R<SUP>5</SUP>, R<SUP>6</SUP> and R have the meaning cited in claim 1.
