[origin: WO2006045708A1] The invention relates to a martensitically hardenable heat-treated steel with the following composition (indications in wt. %): 8.5 to 9.5 Cr, 0.15 to 0.25 Mn, 2 to 2.7 Ni, 0.5 to 2.5 Mo, 0.4 to 0.8 V, 0.001 to 0.15 Si, 0.06 to 0.1 C, 0.11 to 0.15 N, 0.2 to 0.4 Nb, maximum 0.007 P, maximum 0.005 S, maximum 0.01 Al, the remainder being composed of iron and conventional impurities and the weight ratio of vanadium to nitrogen V/N lying between 4.3 and 5.5. Said steel is characterised by an excellent creep-resistance and a higher ductility.
