[origin: WO2006042646A1] The invention relates to a galette for guiding, heating and transporting a thread, said galette comprising a rotating, driveable, hollow cylindrical galette jacket. An induction heating device is provided for heating the galette jacket, said device comprising a plurality of induction coils arranged at a distance from the galette jacket. The aim of the invention is to influence the heating of the galette jacket as directly and instantaneously as possible. To this end, the induction device is arranged outside the galette jacket (1).
