Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006042798A1] The invention relates to an electromagnetic valve for actuating a fuel injector by means of a closing element (13) via which a discharge throttle (14) of a control chamber (15) can be released or closed. An armature plate (7) is moveably mounted on an armature pin (6) and secured by a stop (5). A magnet (2) is arranged opposite the armature plate (7) and at least one overflow channel (26) is provided inside the armature plate (7), said overflow channel connecting hydraulically the discharge throttle chamber (34) to the control chamber (35), thereby forming a hydraulic cushion underneath the armature plate (7).
