Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006042688A2] The invention relates to a method of establishing neighbouring points for a digital road network system which is stored on a storage medium and which comprises a plurality of segments and indications of the position of said segments. According to the invention, the following steps are performed in order to link a given neighbouring point to a given intersection, namely: (a) establishing the class of the intersection (CC); (b) verifying if the intersection class (CC) is greater than a given intersection consideration threshold (SPCC); (c) identifying the surrounding neighbouring points (PV) that can be selected, which are within a given radius in relation to the intersection and which have a threshold or range with a minimum required value (SPV); and (d) selecting the PV closest to the intersection and creating a link between the data corresponding to said intersection and those of the neighbouring point (PV).
