Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1806282A2] The method involves supplying an electric boat motor with current from a battery such as lithium-manganese battery. The maximum current from the battery is drawn up, and battery voltage is measured. The maximum current from the battery is reduced when the battery voltage falls below a limit voltage. The maximum current from the battery is reduced again when the battery voltage falls below another limit voltage. The current is not drawn from the battery when the battery voltage falls below a minimum voltage. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an apparatus for increasing the range of a boat driven by an electric boat motor (2) a boat comprising an electric boat motor and a battery.
