The camshaft (1) has a termination element (2) arranged on the camshaft at an axial end side and permanently connected with the camshaft, where the element is formed as a drive unit for an auxiliary unit on an output side. The element is formed as a sheet metal part, where the element is punched, drawn and hardened. The element includes a coupling area (3) by which the element is permanently connected with the camshaft, and another coupling area (4) by which the element is drive-connected with the auxiliary unit on the output side.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Nockenwelle (1) für insbesondere Kraftfahrzeugmotoren, mit einem axial endseitig in oder an der Nockenwelle (1) angeordneten und fest mit dieser verbundenen Abschlusselement (2), welches die Nockenwelle (1) in axialer Richtung abschließt und welches als Antriebselement für ein abtriebseitiges Nebenaggregat ausgebildet ist. Erfindungswesentlich ist dabei, dass das Abschlusselement (2) als Blechformteil ausgebildet ist.
