[origin: WO2006045442A1] The invention relates to a fan unit (1) for drying a printed material that is provided with ink in a printer. Said fan unit comprises an air channel that runs transversally to the transport direction of the printed material, at least one opening (3), through which a gaseous medium can be conducted from the air channel towards the printed material and a feed opening (2), via which the gaseous medium can be introduced into the air channel. The aim of the invention is to produce a fan unit (1) of this type in a more cost-effective manner. To achieve this, the fan unit contains extruded, deep-drawn or cast material. The invention also relates to a method for producing a fan unit (1).
