Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006048312A1] The invention relates to a system for fixing, either front-mounted or suspended, laminated safety glass panes (1) to support constructions. The invention also relates to overhead glazings using the laminated safety glass panes (1). Pane holders (10) which can be linked with the support construction have a fixing part (20) and a head part (30) which can be screwed together with the fixing part (20) through a pane bore (5), which rests on the front glass pane (2) and comprises a clamping flange (34). The aim of the invention is to guarantee sufficient safety for the event that conventional laminated safety glass panes break. For this purpose, the pane bore (5) is configured as a stepped bore having a wider diameter D in the front glass pane (2) than in the rear glass pane (3), and the intermediate film (4) of the laminated safety glass pane is at least partially present on the base of the stepped bore (5). The head part (30) rests against the intermediate film (4A) at the base of the stepped bore (5) and the intermediate film (4A) and the rear glass pane (3) are clamped between the clamping flanges (34, 25).
