Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1808374A1] The method involves piling or conveying packaged goods pieces to a longitudinal transport unit, and wrapping the front side of the packaged goods pieces. Upper and lower foil layers lie on the upper and lower sides of the packaged goods pieces. The foil layers are welded transverse to transport direction of the packaged goods pieces so that laterally opened foil covers are formed. The breadth of each packaged goods piece is adjusted, and opened sides of the foil covers at the longitudinal sides of the packaged goods pieces are welded. An independent claim is also included for a device for wrapping packaged goods pieces.
