[origin: WO2006026887A1] The invention relates to an item of jewellery and, in particular, a ring (1) consisting of a support ring (2) comprising a shoulder (5) and one or two annular edges (3, 4) having a diameter equal to or less than the diameter of the shoulder (5). According to the invention, one or more rings (6, 6') are mounted on the annular edge(s) (3, 4) on either side of the shoulder (5) of the support ring (2). In addition, one or more grooves (7, 7') are provided either (i) on the circumference of each annular edge (3, 4) or (ii) on the inner periphery of each mounted ring (6, 6'), said grooves comprising one or more cavities (8) on the base thereof.At least one elastic element (9, 9') is disposed, in the former case, on the inner periphery of each mounted ring (6, 6') or, in the latter case, on the circumference of each annular edge (3, 4). In this way, the mounted rings (6, 6') can be rotated in increments and all of the rings (2, 6, 6') can be solidly connected to one another such that they can rotate.
