Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006050716A1] The invention relates to a method for producing an elastomeric bearing, to a sleeve bearing, and to a device for the producing a corresponding sleeve bearing. The aim of the invention is to provide a solution with which elastomeric bearings of a more compact design can be obtained for which, during the manufacturing process, a prestressing of a predetermined magnitude can be easily effected in the elastomeric bearing body. In particular, the manufacture of sleeve bearings with a high radial rigidity should be made possible that have a good behavior with regard to cardanic and torsional loads and preferably satisfy the high requirements with regard to press-out force. To this end, the inner surfaces of an injection mold for producing a plastic sleeve for the bearing and the outer surface of the elastomeric bearing body are contoured in such a manner that a chamber-like free space remains between them after the injection mold is closed with the bearing placed therein that has not yet been encapsulated. During the encapsulation process, the elastomer of the bearing body is pushed into the free space by the plastic introduced under pressure while simultaneously producing a prestressing in the elastomer.
