[origin: WO2006048247A1] The invention relates to a lift device which is intended, for example, to enable maintenance personnel to access different parts of an aircraft. The inventive device comprises a mobile or non-mobile support base (1) which rests on the ground and which is equipped with a vertical pole (3). According to the invention, a bucket (6) is mounted close to the upper end of the pole and is intended to support one or more individuals working on the aircraft. The aforementioned bucket (6) is mounted to the end of a multiple arm (16, 17) which can be folded and unfolded and which is rotatably hinged in relation to the upper end of the pole (31).
