Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006032242A1] A device for adjusting the position of the angle of rotation of the camshaft of a reciprocating piston internal combustion engine in relation to the crankshaft in a motor vehicle, comprising an adjusting gear mechanism which is embodied in the form of a three-shaft gear mechanism with a drive shaft fixed to the crankshaft, an output shaft fixed to the camshaft, and an adjustment shaft which is drivingly connected to an electric motor which can be positioned by means of an electric control device. The ignition of the internal combustion engine is connected to the battery of the motor vehicle by means of an ignition switch. The motor vehicle also comprises at least one device which can be adjusted by a user of the vehicle. The inventive device comprises a monitoring circuit provided with at least one sensor for detecting a change in state of the at least one device. The monitoring circuit is connected to the control device when the latter is switched off, such that the control device is switched on when a change in state is detected.
