[origin: WO2006029898A1] The invention relates to a membrane pump for conveying liquids which is adapted to the use in sterile areas. The inventive pump is characterized in that all surfaces that contact the liquid to be conveyed are inclined and in that all junctions of liquid-carrying surfaces are devoid of steps. In order to allow the membrane pump to idle, the blocking elements of the non-return valves are lifted off their seats by a temporarily generated magnetic field. An improved directed guidance of the liquid flow allows for excellent flushability of the entire pump without substantial residues.
