[origin: WO2006039874A1] The invention relates to a method for managing a prize draw, for example, during a lottery, and to a device for carrying out the method. According to the invention, only one telecommunications number and one participation number, given by the offerer of the prize draw, are stored by the individual who wants to participate in the prize draw. Another identification of the participant ensues firstly in the event in which this participant should actually receive winnings. The costs of participating in the prize draw are preferably debited from the account of the participant by means of a telecommunications bill issued by a telecommunications network operator or provider, i.e. debiting a value of this type from pre-paid carts.
