[origin: EP1810727A1] The boot fixing assembly, comprising front and rear clamps that are released when subjected to forces greater than those applied by their springs, has a supplementary release mechanism that is electronically controlled and equipped with an electric motor (17). The electric motor only initiates the clamp release movement, which is completed by the forces to which the front and rear clamps are subjected. One of the two clamps is mounted on a slider, and the supplementary release mechanism has a bar (10) that is moved lengthwise between open and closed positions by an actuator (14) in the electronic mechanism.
