Abstract (en)
Disclosed is a flat clinch type stapler in which simplification is attained for a mechanism for restoring a slider to the former position after flinching flat staple leg portions having penetrated paper sheets. That is, for example, the slider slides backwards on a base to thereby cancel descent prevention for a swaying member, allowing the swayingmember to descend, and the slider slides forwards on the base to thereby cause the swaying member to ascend to re-effect descent prevention for the swaying member. The mechanism for thus sliding the slider is formed of a single mechanism converting vertical motion of a handle to longitudinal motion of the slider.
