Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1810819A1] The device has a pre-pressing roller and a main pressing roller for pressing of powder in matrix bores (16). A stripper unit (38) strips tablets from an upper side of a matrix plate (14). A temperature sensor (42) e.g. infrared measuring device, operatively stays in connection with a machine computer and has a measuring surface that is provided between the rollers and the unit. The sensor is arranged in a pressing area of a rotary tablet press, where measuring time of the sensor is obtained in such a manner that the some of the tablets are determined with their temperatures per revolution of the matrix plate.. An independent claim is also included for a method for monitoring the production of tablets in a rotary tablet press.
