Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1810843A2] The method involves providing a pattern-providing structure (2) with radial discontinuities (9, 9`, 9``) and two axial discontinuities (10) on a print roller. A front edge of a plate-like workpiece is brought in contact with different intake positions on a circumference of the print roller or an application roller. The intake positions are selected with minimum distance before the radial discontinuities of the print roller or the radial discontinuities transmitted to the application roller. The distance is selected equal to or larger than a distance between the axial discontinuities. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for applying a pattern on a plate-shaped workpiece (2) a system with a panel for manufacturing floor covering, wall covering and/or ceiling covering.
