Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006048150A1] The invention relates to a prosthetic superconstruction comprising: an implant body that can be anchored in the jaw; a retaining pin serving to fasten a dental prosthesis; a joint, which is provided between the implant body and the retaining pin while enabling a pivotally displaceable orientation of the retaining pin with regard to the implant body, said joint having a concave sliding surface near the implant body and having a convex contact surface near the retaining pin, and; fixing means that fix the retaining pin, which is oriented in a specified position with regard to the implant, in this position. The invention provides that: the retaining pin has a longitudinal borehole that widens toward the contact surface; the fixing means are provided in the form of an attachment screw longitudinally extending through the retaining pin, and; the underside of the head of the attachment screw has a convex surface, the retaining pin having a bearing surface for the screw head that is shaped so that it corresponds to the convex surface whereby enabling the underside to rest in a gap-free manner against the retaining pin in all possible angular positions of the fixed retaining pin.
