[origin: WO2006051028A1] The invention relates to an optical sensor for detecting moisture on a glass pane of a motor vehicle, wherein the light radiation (11) is guided towards a detection area (12) on the glass pane arranged in the beam path between the transmitter (1) and the receiver (2). The inventive sensor is characterized in that the transmitter (1) and/or the receiver (2) is/are transparent and integrated into the glass pane, thereby allowing the transparent optical elements (1, 2, 3, 8, 9) to be disposed in the area of a field of the glass pane cleaned by a wiper.
