Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006053648A1] The invention relates to an electrical installation switching device, particularly a circuit-breaker or fault-current circuit-breaker or motor circuit-breaker, comprising: a switch latch with a latching point, which can be manually unlatched by a switch toggle or by an electromagnetic or thermal trip element; a trip lever, which can be actuated by the electromagnetic or thermal trip element and which acts upon the latching point; a latching lever that forms an element of the latching point; and; a pivotal contact lever which, in the event of a short-circuit, is acted upon by the electric trip, and in the existence of a short-circuit current and overload current, is placed and held in the off-position by the switch latch. The latching lever rotationally mounted in the housing forms, together with the trip lever, the latching point. The trip lever is mounted so that it can rotate in the rotation axis of the switch toggle. A projection, which accommodates a first limb of a U-shaped element, is formed on the switch toggle while being diametrically opposed with regard to the switch handle. The other second limb of the U-shaped element is displaceably guided in a longitudinal hole in the latching lever provided with a longitudinally extended shape, and is connected in an articulated manner to the link whose first end is connected to the rotationally mounted contact lever.
