Panels made from metal sheets (5,5.1,6) fasten on a supporting frame made from supporting spars (3.1,3.4). Between the supporting spars and the inner side of the metal sheets there are means of damping down excessive noise with flexible material like flexible beading (7) running round on the supporting spars either area by area or all-round.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Gehäuse für ein Haushaltgerät (1), wie zum Beispiel Waschmaschine, Wäschetrockner, Waschtrockner, Spülmaschine oder dergleichen, welches aus einem Bodenteil (8) und einem aus Tragholmen (3) gebildeten Traggestell (4) besteht, an dem aus Blechtafeln (5) ausgebildete Wände befestigt sind, zwischen den Tragholmen (3) und der Innenseite der Blechtafel (5), Mittel zur Lärmdämmung vorgesehen sind. Dabei bestehen die zur Lärmdämmung vorgesehenen Mittel aus einem elastischem Material, welches als elastische Raupe (7) ausgebildet ist.
