The device (1) has a concrete body (3) integrated with heating unit (5).The heating unit is a thermoelectric element that comprises a heating rod. The heating unit comprises a pipe which guides heating medium. The concrete body has a layer from heat conducting material. An independent claim is also included for a method of heating a section of track.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zum Beheizen eines Gleisabschnitts (7a). Die Vorrichtung (1) weist mindestens einen Schwellenkörper (3) auf, in den mindestens eine Heizeinrichtung (5) integriert ist. Die Heizeinrichtung (5) führt dem Schwellenkörper (3), der unterhalb des Gleisabschnitts (7a) angeordnet ist, Wärme zu, sodass dieser erwärmt wird und die Wärme an seine Umgebung abgibt.
