Abstract (en)
The source has a linear assembly of sub groups of a light generating element. The light generating element has a housing and is composed of LED-chip, as well as a bar shaped body made from optically transparent material, which has outer surface in cross-sectional convex section. The linear assembly extends along the bar shaped body. The body partially surrounds each body and the light generating element spreads the radiated light in the optically transparent material. The convex section of the surface acts as a cylinder lens. An independent claim is included for method for the production of a light source.

Die Lichtquelle weist eine lineare Anordnung von gehäusten LEDs (24), sowie einen stabförmigen Körper (21) aus optisch transparentem Material auf. Dieser besitzt eine äussere Oberfläche mit einem im Querschnitt konvexen Abschnitt und einer sich entlang des stabförmigen Körpers (21) erstreckenden Aussparung (22), in der sich die lineare Anordnung befindet, so, dass der stabförmige Körper jedes Gehäuse mindestens teilweise umgibt. Von den gehäusten LEDs (24) abgestrahltes Licht breitet sich im optisch transparenten Material aus, wobei die der konvexe Abschnitt der Oberfläche als Zylinderlinse wirkt. Eine äussere Hülle (25) kann schützend und unter Umständen auch stabilisierend den stabförmigen Körper und die lichterzeugenden Elemente umschliessen.
