[origin: EP1814202A2] The coupler has a printed circuit board (10) carrying a contact for sockets and connecting contacts (12) of the contact set with one another. Two partial shells are made from an electrically insulating material. An electrically conducting housing has the form of a U-profile with a longitudinal axis running in a plugging direction of the sockets. The shells with the board are inserted into the housing as a component, and a connection endplate (60) covers the component. Contact guides (62) are engaged into the sockets for contacting a shielding of a plug inserted into the sockets.
