[origin: WO2006053366A1] The invention relates to a medical electrode (1) for deriving human skin signals comprising at least one contact point (2) for taking up signals from a patient skin and means (3, 3') which is laterally off-set with respect thereto and is used for transmitting or transferring the signal to a signal recording or processing unit, wherein the contact point(s) (2) for taking up the skin signal are connected to the means (3, 3') used for transmitting or transferring the signal with the aid of a signal line (5), at least one other laterally off-set means (3, 3') used for transmitting or transferring the signal to a signal recording or processing unit is allocated to at least one contact point (2).
