Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006056452A1] The invention relates to a device, in particular, in the form of a dual-chambered syringe, for administering a liquid active substance. Said device comprises a cylinder-shaped cavity provided with a first end comprising an outlet and a second end which is opposite thereto. One first and one second piston stopper are arranged in a displaceable manner along the longitudinal axis of the cavity inside the cavity. A first chamber extending between the first end and the first piston stopper and a second chamber extending between the first piston stopper and the second piston stopper are formed prior to the adminstration of the active substance within the cavity by means, respectively, of the first piston stopper and the second piston stopper. The cavity is provided with said type of inner diameter projection such that the cavity in the region of the first chamber has a first inner diameter which is smaller than the inner diameter of the second chamber.
