[origin: WO2006056843A1] The invention relates to a yarn distributor (1), comprising a pad (2) sliding in the track (6) of a guide-bar, a thread guide (3) with a point facing downwards, for guiding a thread to the needles of a knitting machine, a connection (9) with a connector means for connecting the same to an actuator means, the thread guide (3) having a mobile connection with vertical translation relative to the pad (2) such as to arrange the point of the thread guide just above the needle boards in a first knitting configuration and to remove the same from the knitting zone in a second non-knitting configuration. The connection (9) may permit the connector means to go from the first to the second configuration and vice versa, characterised in comprising an intermediate element (14) distinct from the pad (2), engaged with the thread guide (3) by means of a cam. The intermediate element (14) and the pad (2) may be assembled on two different guide tracks and each have a connection to a connector means for an actuator means.
