[origin: DE102006039736A1] The unit has a strip of cleaning cloth wound on a core in the form of a spindle (2) and wetted with cleaning liquid and enclosed by a protective casing. The cleaning cloth is moistened by the liquid to below a saturation level, whereby the volume of the absorbed cleaning liquid amounts a minimum of 35 pr cent and a maximum of 90 per cent of the maximum cleaning liquid absorbable by the cloth.
