Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006058580A2] The invention relates to a road-rail vehicle (1), especially a road-rail heavy goods vehicle, comprising a drive device (4) for operation on rails, said device having a first and a second rail driving wheel (8, 10) interlinked via a rail axle (6). A first friction drum (12) is coupled to the rail driving wheels (8, 10) via a first transmission (22) and a second friction drum (14) is coupled to the rail driving wheels (8, 10) via a second transmission (28). The first and second friction drum (12, 14) can be placed against the peripheral surface of the respective road driving wheel (18, 20) associated therewith. A coupling device (26, 32) couples, depending on the desired rotational sense of the rail driving wheels (8, 10), the first friction drum (12) to the rail driving wheels via the first transmission (22) or the second friction drum (14) via the second transmission (28). The inventive rail-road vehicle is characterized in that the first transmission (22) comprises a first plurality of gears (25) and the second transmission (28) comprises a second plurality of gears (34), the difference between the first plurality and the second plurality of gears (25, 34) being an odd number different from zero.
