[origin: US2007296339A1] A high-pressure discharge lamp includes a quartz glass discharge chamber ( 1 ) having at least one end ( 11 ) provided with a molybdenum film sealing element ( 2 ) and at least one electrode ( 4 ) which is connected to the sealing element ( 2 ) and is protruded in the lower chamber ( 10 ) of the discharge chamber ( 1 ), wherein the lamp includes a spiral ( 5 ) whose slope is equal to or greater than 600% and which encompasses the part of the electrode ( 4 ) in the end ( 11 ) area provided with the sealing element ( 2 ) of the discharge chamber ( 1 ) outside of the sealing element ( 2 ).
