Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006056109A1] The present invention discloses an iron convenient for winding up a power cord and a method for takeup of the power cord The iron includes a main body of iron, a sole which is provided on bottom of the main body, a electrical heater which is disposed in the main body for heating the sole and connected to a power cord extending to the outside of the main body a handgrip portion which is formed above the main body, wherein a winding space around which the power cord is wound is formed between the handgrip portion and the main body . The present invention is different from the conventional iron. In the iron according to the present invention, a winding portion of a power cord is formed between a handle and a main body of iron so that the handle and the takeup device for the power cord are integrated together. Furthermore, a space between the handle and the main body is sufficiently utilized, and also the takeup device for the power is simply constructed and does not tend to break down.
