Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1819020A2] The socket has a housing in which a contact casing is provided for receiving a base (11) of an incandescent lamp (10). A center contact is provided for contacting base contacts of the lamp. An electrical cable is connected at the casing and the center contact. The casing comprises a receiving region (55) for receiving the lamp base. Ridges (57, 58) are provided on an inner wall of the receiving region of the casing. An independent claim is also included for a contact casing for a lamp socket.
