Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1819206A2] An apparatus for controlled supply of lighting systems powered by an alternating voltage (V AC ) source, with interposition of protection means and supplying a plurality of electric loads (L 1 , L 2 , ..., L j , ..., L n ), includes a device for converting the alternating voltage (V AC ) into a direct voltage (V DC ), made available at the outlet terminals. A plurality of modulating units (U 1 , U 2 , ..., U j , ..., U,) are connected respectively to the plurality of electric loads (L 1 , L 2 , ..., L j , ..., L n ) and supplied by the direct voltage (V DC ). Each unit (U j ) includes at least one solid state electronic switch (E 1 , E 2 , ..., E j , E J A , E J B , E J C , E J D ), which is enabled/disabled to allow circulation of an electrical current (I j ) through the corresponding load (L j ). A central unit is provided for enabling/disabling the solid state electronic switches (E 1 , E 2 , ..., E j , E J A , E J B , E J C , E J D , ...,E n ) by respective control signals (S 1 , S 2 , ..., S j , S J A , S J B , S J C , S J D , ..., S n ), according to a prefixed modulation technique.
