Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006034899A1] The invention relates to a handheld machine tool, especially a drill hammer and/or a percussive drill. Said machine tool comprises a hammer tube (15) which is rotatably arranged in a housing (11) and is used to rotatably drive a tool receiving element (16) holding a tool in a rotationally fixed and axially displaceable manner, a motor-driven drive toothed wheel which is arranged on the hammer tube (15) and is used to rotatably drive the hammer tube (15), and a latch coupling (24) comprising concentric coupling parts that are engaged by means of torque-transmitting elements (26) and can be latched against a radial force of a coupling spring when a threshold torque is exceeded. One of said coupling parts is formed by the hammer tube (15), and one is a motor-driven percussive mechanism (18) which is arranged in the hammer tube (15) and is used to drive the tool in a translatory manner. The aim of the invention is to produce a robust latch coupling (24) that can be used both for a hammer tube (15) that is axially fixed in relation to the housing (11) and for a hammer tube (15) that can be axially displaced in relation to the housing (11), said hammer tube (15) being embodied as a single component or in several parts. To this end, the other coupling part of the latch coupling (24) is formed by a coupling sleeve (25) that is arranged on the hammer tube (15) in a sliding manner and can be coupled to the drive toothed wheel (14) for the fixed rotary connection.
