Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006061328A1] The invention relates to a device for transmitting and/or receiving high-frequency signals in an open or closed space system. Said device is configured as an array-type radar antenna (1) which transmits and receives the high-frequency signals with a predefined form of the wavefront (15). Said array-type radar antenna (1) is embodied as a support structure with transmitting and/or receiving antenna elements. The support structure is made of a dielectric material. A transceiver unit (25) is provided while at least one supply system is embodied for transmitting the high-frequency signals between the transceiver unit and the transmitting and/or receiving antenna elements. Furthermore, a control/evaluation unit (23) is provided. The aim of the invention is therefore to create an inexpensive, compact, and resistant device for transmitting and receiving high-frequency signals, which is characterized by optimized radiation features.
