Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1820483A2] An operating table (10) has first and second bed platforms (14), each which can rotate. In an operating configuration, the patient lies on one of the bed platforms (14) in a prone or supine position with the bed platform (14) centered over the base (12). When the patient needs to be turned, the other bed platform bed (14) extends outwardly, and both bed platforms (14) are rotated to position the patient for turning. Once the patient is turned, the bed platform (14) on which the patient lies is returned to its operating position over the base (12) and the other bed platform (14) is returned to its storage position.
