[origin: EP1820618A1] The cutting tool (1), for cutting rock materials, has a carrier (2) with a number of saw teeth (3). Each tooth has a head (4) and a foot (5) welded to the carrier directly or indirectly. On a side view, the head is narrower than the foot. The carrier has a protective coating.
